Are you an engaging speaker? Do you love history, local culture, and telling stories? What about architecture; Frank Lloyd Wright and the prairie style? Or perhaps your interest is in gardening or Japanese culture? Or code breaking?

If any of these caught your interest, you would be a perfect fit for a docent at the Fabyan Villa Museum or Japanese Garden here in Geneva. We give engaging, fascinating 45 minute tours on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Sundays and Saturdays from 1-4:30. You will learn about the histories of Colonel George and his wife Nelle Fabyan, their eccentric lives and exotic pets. You will also become more familiar with Frank Lloyd Wright, who remodeled the Fabyan Villa in 1908 to be the beautiful home it is today... complete with custom heights in both bedrooms to accomodate the 6'4 Colonel and the 4'11 Nelle. You'll also discover fascinating glimpses into history; stories about code breaking during the first World War, acoustic chambers and levitation devices.

If gardening is more your style, the Japanese garden is a beautiful expansive garden for all seasons for which we also offer tours. Experience the tranquility, magic, and peace that can be found in your own carefully curated corner of nature.

All training is included and provided, and we are welcome to all ages, ethnicities, sexualities, and ability levels.

Please join us in making magic here at the Fabyan Villa.
