Administrative Assistant

The administrative assistant will coordinate with and manage the summer staff and contribute support to current Clarette Refugee Fund outreach and fundraising projects.


Responsibilities include:

- take minute notes

- manage communication and scheduling among interns and staff

- track progress on the different projects, and maintain an updated spreadsheet of current project status and short-term goals

- check in with other interns to update this spreadsheet, and identify areas that require immediate attention; coordinate with rest of staff to organize meetings to address these areas

- provide administrative support for the Clarette Refugee Fund staff, including managing donation materials, letters, emails and phone calls and general logistic support for events

-Research potential refugee schools around the globe to work with


Responsibilities

- must be organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage several people and projects at the same time

- value interpersonal communications, be able to synthesize information from a variety of sources

- must be available to work for at least 20 hours a week

The Clarette Refugee Fund was created by Clementine Bihiga, an award winning Rwandan author and motivational speaker in memory of a daughter she lost in 2014.
