On Friday June 21st, Vitalant (formerly BloodSource) and Univision will be co-hosting our annual Univision Blood Donor Day at Cal Expo. At this bilingual blood drive, we receive a tremendous turn-out from the Spanish speaking community and collect much-needed lifesaving blood over the summer. We are looking for bilingual Spanish speakers to help interpret for our donors at this drive. You are welcome to bring Spanish speaking friends and family or a service group to volunteer with you. Minimum age for volunteer opportunity 16 years old.
We have 3 VOLUNTEER SHIFTS available:
- AM shift: 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
- Mid day shift: 12 noon to 5:30 pm
- PM shift: 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm

Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider exclusively focused on providing lifesaving blood and comprehensive transfusion medicine services for about 900 hospitals and their patients across the U.S. Every day, Vitalant needs to collect about 5,300 blood, platelet and plasma donations to help save lives.
