Overview
The Costume Repair/Sewing Volunteer will sew/repair identified pieces of clothing necessary for our Museum Programming. These costumes assist with the performances done during our fall shows. They are worn in the Turner/Ingersoll Mansion, otherwise known as The House of the Seven Gables, and Hawthorne’s Birthplace. They are worn by our actors and actresses. (Beginning of the summer)
Duties and Responsibilities
Sew pieces of costume
Repair damaged or worn costumes
Iron costumes (if need be)
Clean and launder costumes (if need be)
Use of needle, thread, scissors
Qualifications
Basic Sewing
Interest in Sewing
Ability to accept supervision, work both independently and in a group, and be flexible to changing situations.
