West Des Moines Human Services is seeking volunteers for its Clothing Closet. Volunteers accept, sort and straighten clothing and household donations, and assist clients as needed. Morning and afternoon shifts available, Monday through Friday. Shifts are flexible, 2 to 3 hours in length. We are also in need of volunteers on Tuesday evenings from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Volunteers may commit to a regular weekly shift, or volunteer on an intermittent basis on Tuesday evenings. Please note, we do not offer one-time volunteer opportunities in the Clothing Closet. West Des Moines Human Services provides necessary assistance to low-income, elderly and disabled individuals in our service area. Services include a food pantry, clothing closet, transportation and emergency financial assistance.
