Pick Up and Pitch In

A lot goes into maintaining and enhancing Atlanta’s favorite urban green space! With more than 4 million visitors annually, we need your help to keep Piedmont Park beautiful. Pitch in by picking up litter in the park. Grab some gloves, a trash bag, and trash grabber; and head out into the park to for 30 minutes to up to 3 hours to keep the park clean and green this summer. Every stray straw, plastic bottle, bottle cap, and chip bag collected makes a difference!

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 am - 11 am*
  • Volunteers MUST sign up in advance
  • Project takes place outdoors
  • This opportunity is self-guided
  • Great opportunity for individuals, families or small groups
  • Dogs are welcome! Dogs must be friendly, up to date on all vaccinations, and be on a leash.

To enhance and preserve Piedmont Park as a vital urban green space and as a cultural and recreational resource that enhances the quality of life for all Atlantans.

Description

Piedmont Park Conservancy is the nonprofit organization, working with the City of Atlanta for the preservation of historic Piedmont Park. Since our inception in 1989, the Conservancy has successfully restored the historic portion of Piedmont Park. The Conservancy has raised and invested more than $60 million for park beautification, maintenance/security, programs, and also includes a 53-acre expansion of green space. The Piedmont Park Conservancy has successfully transformed the once dilapidated Park into the most visited in green space in Atlanta. The Conservancy currently manages more than 90 percent of the Park’s daily maintenance care and security.
