Working closely with the Communications Coordinator, the Communications Intern will research, write and post content for social media outlets, maintain social media archives, write articles for agency web site, and assist with creating window displays to communicate the agency's message. Applicants must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including an ability to conduct interviews resulting in well-crafted articles for publication. Must possess working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and be available to assist with taking photographs at agency functions and events. An ability to plan work, stay on task and meet deadlines is crucial. Opportunities are available for one student per semester, including summer. Internship is unpaid but will provide successful intern with materials for portfolio as well as valuable real world experience in non-profit sector. A minimum of 10 hours per week and ability to travel to satellite locations within York County is expected. Current college students and recent graduates in communications, marketing, public relations, writing, journalism and/or related fields are encouraged to apply for the position of Communications Intern.
