As a volunteer, you will be fulfilling a critical role by providing Companionship, Emotional support and Joy to patients who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness, whether it is direct as a Patient and Family Support Volunteer or indirectly as a Professional Service Volunteer.

Full Training is required and provided and will take place here at our Main office in Sherman Oaks, most of our patients are Located in the Los Angeles area. Background checks and TB test will be done as well.

THIS IS A GOOD OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE INTERESTED IN THE MEDICAL FIELD WHETHER IN ADMINSTRATION OR HANDS ON PATIENT CARE!

Description

Agape Hospice promotes and embraces a palliative care approach to individuals diagnosed with a life-limiting illness as well as supportive services to their loved ones. Physical, social, spiritual and emotional care and support is provided during the last stages of illness for the patient and during bereavement for the family and loved ones. Hospice care is provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals consisting of the patient's physician, hospice staff and volunteers. Hospice and palliative care is a continuum of care ranging from intermittent home care to inpatient care with emphasis on maintaining the patient at home in their most familiar, comfortable, and least restrictive environment.
