The Accelerator Y is hosting a Young Adult Services (YAS) Conference in August. This conference is going to be a two-day event, where young adults who are a part of our branch can come to learn about different areas, attend workshops, talk to community partners and gain resources.
The event is taking place on Tuesday, August 22 nd 10:00-4:30pm and Wednesday, August 23 rd 10:00-5:30pm. As a part of this event, we are hosting 2 Breakout Sessions on each day, where organizations and businesses can come in and teach workshops to interested young adults.
We are looking for a group of 15-20 volunteers to help on Wednesday, August 23rd from 10:00-6:00pm. Responsibilities would include set-up, clean-up, food serving, registration, greeters, and general facilitators.

The Y Social Impact Center offer services at dozens of program sites in Seattle and King County, building stronger community as part of the YMCA of Greater Seattle’s family of branches and camps. Since 1973, the Y Social Impact Center (formerly Accelerator and Metrocenter) has been a catalyst for sparking young people to build self-confidence, resilience and hope, and to build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.
The Social Impact Center provides a full spectrum of programming that engages young people from different socioeconomic backgrounds and life experiences. 40 years and counting, the Y continues to provide innovative opportunities for youth to become healthier, make better choices, participate in life-changing leadership experiences, and create stronger communities.
