About Student/Partner Alliance
Location:
561 Springfield Ave., Summit, NJ 07901, US
Mission Statement
The Mission of the Student/Partner Alliance is to support low-income, urban city high school students in Essex, Hudson and Union Counties of NJ with scholarship assistance and mentoring to increase their chances for college admission and scholarships so that they can ultimately lead productive and successful lives.
Description
We raise money from individuals (we call them "Partners"), foundations and corporations to provide scholarships to urban parochial high schools for low income, motivated students who want to get a good high school education and go to college. Students, approximately 65% African American and 30% Hispanic, come from families with incomes under $40,000 per year. We also provide our students with mentors as mentored students have a significantly higher chance of graduating from high school and going to college.
