Gift and Thrift could use extra volunteer help at during the week of June 26-July 10.
Our remodeling project calls for construction work to be done in our retail area. For that reason everything will be moved out of the current retail space into the new space.
We need lots of hands for this process. Are you part of a group that could volunteer 2-3 hours that week? It could be a Sunday School class, men’s or women’s group, youth group, book study group, family. Individuals are also welcome.
Available times would be Monday through Friday 8:30-noon; 1:00-4:30; 6:30-8:30.

Description
Gift and Thrift, Inc. provides a place for community members to drop off used items including books, furniture, clothing, electronics and other household items instead of putting them in the landfill. Items are treated with care as they are processed, cleaned, repaired, priced, and put out for sale. Gift & Thrift donates a portion of our proceeds to the Mennonite Central Committee, which works for peace and justice throughout the world. We also support more than a dozen local nonprofits that serve at-risk people in our community. Lastly, we work hard to keep as much as possible out of the dump. Whenever possible, we give new life to things once deeply loved!
Our volunteers sort, clean, and repair these items and place them in our retail area or on-line for resale. Much of what we cannot use we recycle.
