About
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is made up of civilian volunteers (not paid), in support of the Coast Guard in civic duties, public education to the boating public, assisting in search and rescue, vessel examinations and many other activates.
The Auxiliary Band , Flotilla 97 , is made up of qualified, Volunteer members in the Coast Guard Auxiliary’s Musician program in our Western MA Division.
Their purpose is to provide live musical entertainment for the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary Ceremonial events, honoring veterans and community events.
Membership in the Coast Guard Auxiliary is required. An annual tax-deductible dues of $50 per year is required along with a 7 lesson boating course, other required courses and a background check. All these courses can be done online. Members have completed the basic required courses within 3 weeks.
