Volunteers, 14 years and up, are needed to help with registration and event details. This triathlon is for youth 7-10 years old who will swim, bike and run! The youth will be going through the course at staggered starts.
There are a variety of shifts to set up the day before and on the day of. You can sign up for more than one and stay for the whole event. Once your area is finished you will be reassigned to another task.
Marking the bike course: Come chalk off the bike course with us! Volunteers, 14 and up, will be given colorful chalk and trace the bike course for the kids through the MVHS parking lot. Show your artistic side by including positive messages inside of the tracks!
Athlete Check In: Adult volunteers, 18 and up, will be at a check-in desk by the MVHS pool, checking children into the event and handing out packets to those who didn't receive one prior.
Bike and Run Course Monitors: Help make sure the participants stay on track. You will be stationed along the bike route to be sure they stay on course, help them safely park their bike if necessary, and point them to the track for the run. 14 and up
Bag Drop table: keeps all the bags that the athletes drop organized at the drop area and helps hand them back when the child has completed the triathlon.
Bib Markers: Volunteers, 14 and up, stand at the Start/Stop of the bike course and mark each child's bib each time they complete a lap.
Event Assistant: A volunteer, 16 and up, is needed to assist the event coordinator both days. You will have fun doing just about anything that is needed. 3-6 on Saturday and 8 - noon on Sunday.
