Computer Class Teacher

Objective

Enable adult learners who are not computer literate to acquire basic technology skills, so that they can seek and apply for jobs, pay their bills, get essential information and educational websites ,increase their time productivity and communicate with family and friends.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Students with lesson delivery, and assist students as they work individually and in groups.

  • Provide a supportive, and positive learning environment with high expectations.

  • Participate in program meetings and training sessions.

  • Skills

  • Proficient in using Windows 7, Microsoft Office and Internet.

  • Ability to engage students and maintain focus on learning objectives.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively with culturally diverse staff and participants.

  • Combination of patience and initiative-ability to balance the need for the student to learn the material through trial and error and knowing when the student will benefit from learning directly from one-to-one instruction

Requirements

  • Commit to a minimum of one class (three hours) a week for 22 weeks.

  • Bilingual English - Spanish
