Carpe Librum, a pop-up used bookstore, needs help to stay up and running smoothly! Volunteers will be keeping shelves stocked, sorting donations, and helping with other organizational tasks. Volunteers must be 18+ and are welcome at any time during opening hours.
Funds raised at Carpe Librum benefit Turning the Page, an educational non-profit working on parent and family engagement in North Lawndale schools.
Carpe Librum Hours:
Monday - Friday: 10 am - 8 pm
Saturday: 11 am - 6 pm
Closed on Sundays

Turning the Page is an education nonprofit engaging public school families for student success. We connect parents and other caring family members with teachers, school administrators, and communities to ensure that all students, regardless of income or home neighborhood, are fully supported in their education.
Description
Since 1998, Turning the Page has become a leader in family engagement, providing thousands of families with the supports, skills, and resources they need to best support their children's learning at home and at school, form positive relationships with their children's teachers, and become leaders in their school communities. Turning the Page currently partners with schools in Ward 7 and Ward 8 of Washington, DC.
