Meals on Wheels is the only nationwide, community-based network of support dedicated to making sure that no senior is ever left isolated or hungry. The Wake County Meals On Wheels serves around 1300 clients daily and we need your help.
Volunteer drivers are greatly needed to deliver lunch and smiles to our senior and disabled clients. Meal delivery takes about 60 to 90 minutes. Please arrive between 10 and 11am. You will be given complete turn by turn directions via our app. If you don't want to return coolers to the site when your route is done bring two medium sized coolers of your own to transport the food. Groups and individuals welcome with daily, weekly, monthly or yearly commitments. Sign ups can be ongoing or last minute as we have a live link for open routes.
This volunteer opportunity is at our Raleigh Meals On Wheels location at Blair Dr. (behind the NC State Farmer’s Market).
What to bring:
Two medium sized coolers (optional) and a smart phone (optional).
Parking:
Park at the side of the building, enter through the side door and ask for the site manager Josh.
Go to our website and fill out the volunteer application at:
