Peer Support

We’re looking for some outgoing, passionate volunteers to ask past donors to provide auction items for our annual Party with a Purpose (PwaP) fundraising dinner/auction on September 15 th. It's our 40th anniversary and we are inviting them to help us celebrate.

It’s called Values-based Marketing.

You’ll send mails and snail mails to past donors and a few potential new ones. Then you’ll follow up with phone calls (or personal calls if you're able) to persuade, induce, and procure items to fill specific auction packages that will be bid on in either a silent or oral (live) auction that provides funds for delivery of peer-based mental health support, education, and advocacy for individual and families throughout Clackamas County.

For example, you may be calling a local restaurant asking for a gift card or meal certificate for a family of four or a couple that can be used in a local stay-cation package with tickets to the Symphony and other items. It’s fun...really!

We will provide you with orientation and training, a phone script and prepared emails, as well as a general PwaP email box for tracking responses and follow up with remote access to that and other documents you will need. Pick up of some items can be arranged although most are usually sent via mail.

You can do most of this anytime remotely and online although phone calling is best done during business hours and from our office (caller ID) and we do expect a few face-to-face meetings along the way.

Your time commitment can vary although we need volunteers to be willing to commit to the duration of the project (through to August 11 th and, if you want, on September 15 th). Typically, we would expect that you would spend 5-10 hours a week including follow up and reporting.
