ORGANIZATION: Girl Scouts of Western Ohio

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
  • 3 people are interested

Fall is a very busy time for parents and kids- back to school preparations, readjusting to a new schedule and trying to figure out how to fit in extra curriculars.

This is where you come in- there are open houses for every single Kindergarten through 5th grade school in Hamilton, Butler, Warren, Clermont, Brown, and Ripley counties in Ohio and Dearborn and Ohio counties in Indiana. To make sure that every single girl has been offered the chance to join Girl Scouts, however it may fit into her schedule, we need people to represent Girl Scouts of Western Ohio at Open houses.

What exactly does this look like for a volunteer? We will privide you with all the information you need to talk with parents and effectively "man" the information table at a school near you. Most open houses are about 2 hours on a week night late afternoon or evening.

we need you and would appreciate your help in making surea every single girl gets the chance to know she is wanted in Girl Scouts!

About Girl Scouts of Western Ohio

Location:

4930 Cornell Road, Cincinnati, OH 45242, US

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
