Calm, Fit, Complete

Hey everyone,

My name is Jesse and I'm a Marine Corps combat veteran, city of Mesa Firefighter and the founder of a nonprofit, Calm, Fit, Complete, which will soon be the most relevant and comprehensive, mentorship, reintegration and community assistance project in the country. We'll repurpose veterans, giving them a new mission in mentoring youth from military and Gold star families, with the hopes of expanding into public schools.

Calm, Fit, Complete is looking for organizations or individuals that are passionate about serving the community, especially with regards to veterans and youth, who may be able to assist in one or more of the following: Program development, case management, counseling, bereavement support, life coaching, etc.

Without getting into too much detail here (more info can be found at calmfitcomplete.org) the prorgam will be mixing two, potentially volatile, groups of people in an immersive course that'll teach members more about themself and how they handle their emotions, among other things, with the goal of empowering them to become happy, healthy, productive members of society.

If interested, please tell me a bit about yourself, and your experience in the field, and attach an updated resume.

Thanks, and have a good day!

Mission Statement

Calm, Fit, Complete is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of both veterans and "at-risk" youth through the use of intensive group exercise, calming meditative practices, community outreach and personal and professional development, all in the form of transformative mentorship program.

Description

Calm, Fit, Complete is the most relevant and comprehensive, mentorship, reintegration and community assistance project in the country.

As an afterschool program we use our veterans as mentors to help guide the youth through hard times, whether that be deployment or dealing with a family member who is severely wounded or killed in combat. We are committed to helping those who need it most.

For veterans, we create a buffer between the military and civilian sectors allowing our nation’s heroes to adjust to the freedoms they have so adamantly defended. We provide the structure, resources and experience necessary for a successful transition. For those who have already reintegrated, we provide community leadership, networking and mentorship opportunities. The majority of the youth in our program are seeking direction, or simply a friend, as war affects not only those serving but also their family. Each veteran will be called upon to serve as a mentor, a team leader, setting the example for the youth to follow. We will use a combination of group exercise; team building activities and personal development lessons to strengthen our members, inside and out.

Currently, I'm in search of:

*Motivated, reliable, Post 9/11, veterans turned student, or those otherwise gainfully employed, who wish to contunue their service to the community.

*Prospective board members
