This opportunity is for capable, dedicated and bright individuals who would like to support our mission in the areas of fundraising and event coordination. Adam’s House believes no child should ever grieve alone. Children deserve a supportive and understanding community to learn and explore their feelings of death and loss. All grief journeys are unique. Grief is a natural reaction to a loss of a loved one. Adam’s House will be a supportive partner in a child’s healing process.
Adam’s House offers no-cost peer support education programs. These programs are designed to support a child, 3-18 years of age, through the death of a loved one. At Adam’s House, they learn they will not have to do it alone. Peer support has been studied and considered an effective model of support for grief.
Adam’s House uses a closed-ended education model. A closed group means that once the group members have been interviewed by our staff and cleared by our specialist partners, they begin the program together and end the program together. Families are offered the option of entering a program, but must commit to attending each week’s meeting of the eight-week program.
