The Summer Concert Concession Stand provides refreshments for attendees of the free Summer Concert Series at the Lighthouse. Concerts are Sunday afternoons from July 2nd - September 3rd. The concession stand provides hotdogs and sausages, popcorn, chips, icecream treats, and non-alcoholic beverages. We need volunteers to grill, work the popcorn machine, destribute snacks and beverages, and accept payment from our visitors. This is a fun atmosphere with a spirit of camaraderie among concession stand volunteers. You also get to listen to some great musical selections during the concert!

Mission Statement
The purposes of the Society are to collect, preserve and exhibit records, writings, historical items and artifacts; to preserve and disseminate information in the field of history connected with the Sodus Bay area; to serve the educational and cultural needs of the Sodus Bay area; to support the preservation of historic structures, sites, and monuments; and to maintain a museum in the historic lighthouse, with an emphasis on local maritime history.
Description
The Sodus Bay Historical Society operates a local history museum in the Sodus Bay Lighthouse, which was built in 1870. Exhibitions include lighthouse tools, Fresnel lenses, maritime artifacts, ship models, railroads and trolleys, and a commemoration of the War of 1812 Battle of Sodus Point. Visitors can climb the lighthouse tower, enjoy beautiful gardens, and shop for unique gifts. The grounds are available for weddings. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday, from May 1 through October 31.
