Craven Literacy Council regularly offers workshops to train volunteer tutors to work with adults who need to improve their basic literacy skills. The next New Tutor Training Workshop will begin Tuesday,September 18, 2018 and will continue with sessions on September 20, 25, 27, with a follow-up session on November 8 (Tuesdays and Thursdays). These training sessions will be from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. All sessions will be held at Craven Literacy Council, 2507 - F Neuse Blvd., New Bern, NC. Description
Craven Literacy Council trains adult volunteers to teach reading, writing or English to low readers or speakers of a foreign language. Our tutors are matched one-on-one or in small groups (5 or less) with students who need help. All our services are confidential.
