Special Olympics Camp Shriver - Liberty City is an inclusive sports camp serving campers ages 8-14 with and without intellectual disabilities. They will learn new sport skills and improve their individual sport performance. The camp dates are Monday through Friday, June 12th - June 23rd. The mornings will be spent at Morning Side Park where they will learn how to play tennis and afternoons will be at Gibson Park where they will learn to swim! Voluteer opportunities are all day from 8am-4pm, mornings from 8am - 11am or afternoons from 12pm-3pm. 8AM - 11AM - Morningside Park- 750 NE 55th Terrace 11:30AM - 4 PM - Gibson Park - 401 NW 12th St

Description
The ultimate goal of Special Olympics is to help persons with intellectual disabilities participate as productive and respected members of society at large, by offering them a fair opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills and talents through sports training and competition, and by increasing the public’s awareness of their capabilities and needs.
