Calling all volunteers! We are a non-profit organization hosting the Junior Series, three Saturdays of free and fully inclusive summer fun for children 4 and up. This is a great opportunity for anyone who loves to work with kids or who is interested in going into child health or development.
Our three events are Junior Scientist (Saturday, June 17th), Junior Chef (Saturday, July 8th), and Junior Health (Saturday, July 29th), held from 1PM-3PM at the Austin Rec Center. For Junior Scientist, we need volunteers to help out in a variety of roles, including (but not limited to) manning booths, helping with science crafts, setting up/cleaning up, keeping tech running, building props, and more.
If you are interested, or if you have any questions, feel free to email us at intern1@johnson-center.org.
Can’t wait to see you there!

Mission Statement
The mission of The Johnson Center for Child Health and Development is to advance the understanding of childhood development through community outreach, clinical care, research, and education.
Description
In 2004, a group of parents and professionals gathered to try and address the growing needs of the developmental disorder community. Over the next several years, a multi-disciplinary center was established and expanded to address the many needs recognized to be the most pressing for those diagnosed with developmental disorders - appropriate healthcare, diagnostic, behavioral, and education services, community outreach and support, and research. In 2011, the organization was renamed in honor of Betty Wold Johnson in recognition of her ongoing generous support of this community and her exceptional commitment to philanthropy.
