Through construction with Habitat for Humanity, you can make a huge impact on a family's life.

Volunteers will continue with general framework & begin lifting/securing the roof trusses onto this newly constructed house! NOTE: Ground & roof work will be available. AGE REQUIREMENT: 16+. Under 18 cannot use power tools, work above 6ft

No experience necessary. Our staff and long time volunteers can teach you everything you need to know.

Founded as a Christian Ministry, Habitat for Humanity of Charlotte works in partnership with God and people from all walks of life to develop community with people in need by building and renovating homes, so that people can live and grow into all that God intended. Habitat Charlotte's mission is accomplished by: Constructing simple, decent, and affordable houses, Selling the houses at no profit and low interest and using the mortgage payments to build more houses. Demonstrating the love and teachings of Jesus Christ, Providing a way for sharing between the affluent and those in need, Working in partnership with representative local leadership, Selecting families in greatest need first, without favoritism or discrimination.

Description

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region builds houses in partnership with low income working families who purchase the homes at low interest and no profit. Volunteer labor and donated items help keep house costs low. Families must work on their own and other's homes.
