The AARP Foundation and US Hunger (Feeding Children Everywhere's domestic brand) are partnering together for the 3rd year in a row to package 500,000 meals for the Denver community. There will be great music, good fun and a volunteer experience like no other!
Details about our Summer of Service are as follows:
Date: Sunday, July 9th
Time: 6:00am - 6:00 pm - We have three shifts available.
1. Full day commitment 6:00am-6:00pm (breakfast & lunch included)
2. Morning half day commitment 6:00am-12:00pm (breakfast included)
3. Afternoon half day commitment 12:00pm-6:00pm (lunch included)

Description
There is currently a hunger epidemic in the United States that has been magnified by the economic climate. It’s estimated that there are 14 million children that risk going hungry this year in our country. The crisis is evident in the drastic increase of children that rely on free and reduced cost meals in our schools. Many of these kids go hungry at night or even for an entire weekend. Childhood hunger causes devastating effects including stunted educational development.
