Purpose/ Objective:

Families Forward is seeking individuals who will serve as the first point of contact for families and individuals in need of assistance. Good communication skills, a strong desire to help others, patience, and excellent judgment are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a desktop computer
• Schedule appointments
• Fill out intake forms over the phone
• Share and provide information about the services and programs offered at Families Forward
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. preferred but not necessary.
• Help clients enroll in programs and much more!

Qualifications:

• Must be 18+ years old
• Basic computer and phone skills required
• Must be able to volunteer during normal business hours, Monday -Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
• Driver’s License Needed

Time Commitment:Scheduling is very FLEXIBLE and can be modified once scheduled.

Training and Support Provided:Individuals interested in this position must attend a New Volunteer Orientation, training with the Volunteer Manager, and on-going trainings as needed.
