Street Soccer USA is seeking volunteers to assist in the production of our 2017 SSUSA National Cup, the premier charity soccer tournament in Philadelphia, hosted at the foot of the Art Museum Steps, June 8-11th. Proceeds from the Cup support Street Soccer USA’s programs for low-income youth and homeless adults in Philadelphia and across the country. The Cup will also serve as the venue for the Soccer for Social Change National Cup, featuring teams from 14 cities across the country. The winners of the Social Change National Cup will represent Team USA at the Homeless World Cup in Norway at the end of August. If you are interested in volunteering at the 2017 SSUSA National Cup, we have various roles throughout the weekend which require support. Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of one shift and will receive an SSUSA UNIQLO t-shirt to wear during the event.

Description
Our goal is to provide an alternative to the pay-to-play model of youth sports with a focus on social impact across the United States and beyond.
SSUSA brings its programs to kids 6-18 years old, as well as special needs populations including homeless families, adults and people in recovery. We focus our efforts on the 33% of youth who are living below the poverty line and have graduation rates between 55-65%. In our nearly 10 years of existence , we have introduced our program and positively impacted the lives of over 15,000 youth and adults, and have grown to encompass 14 cities throughout the USA. SSUSA is also the official partner of the Homeless World Cup and the Street Child World Cup, which provides opportunities for valuable international experiences for our program participants.
