We are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us open Best Buddies Programs at North Carolina Middle Schools, High Schools and Colleges. Best Buddies Friendship programs build one-to-one friendships between people with and without IDD, offering social mentoring while improving the quality of life and level of inclusion for a population that is often isolated and excluded. Through their participation, people with IDD form meaningful connections with their peers, gain self-confidence and self-esteem, and share interests, experiences and activities that many other individuals enjoy. These volunteers will advocate for and lead Best Buddies clubs at their school! Contact our Program Manager Izzi Tritz at izzitritz@bestbuddies.org to start the process today!

Best Buddies North Carolina is the newest state office of Best Buddies International, the world’s largest organization dedicated to ending the social, physical and economic isolation of the 200 million people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).Our programs help people with IDD form meaningful friendships with their peers, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self advocacy and communication skills and feel VALUED by society!
