In just one hour you can help deliver a nutritious meal, a friendly visit and a safety check to a senior in Stayton and its surrounding areas.

Our meal site is open from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Lunch is served at 11:30 am.
As a volunteer you can:
PACKAGE
Help in the kitchen by packaging meals for delivery.
DELIVER
Pick up meals at our location and hand-deliver them directly to seniors' homes. One volunteer drives the route accompanied by another volunteer who delivers "walks" the meal to the senior's door step.
SERVE
Serve food, assist, wash dishes and clean up after meals served at our mealsite for seniors who can still leave their homes.
Lunch and refreshments are provided to volunteers!

Description
NorthWest Senior & Disability Services (NWSDS) is a local intergovernmental agency that was created in 1982. Designated as the Area Agency on Aging for Clatsop, Marion, Polk, Tillamook and Yamhill Counties. NWSDS is responsible for planning, developing, coordinating and arranging services for seniors and people with disabilities in these five counties.
Funds for the operation of NWSDS and its programs come from the federal and state government, as well as from community groups and individual donations. NWSDS also relies heavily on dedicated and compassionate volunteers who serve in the following programs:
- Meals on Wheels
- Senior Dining Centers
- Oregon Money Management Program
- SHIBA (Medicare Counselors)
- Peer Mentoring Program
- Advisory Councils

- Driver's must provide valid driver's license and proof of insurance. All volunteers must successfully complete a full background check (which may include fingerprinting).
