Consider becoming a volunteer with Kansas City Hospice, and use your sewing talents to make Memory Pillows or Bears for our patient's loved ones. Our volunteers create a pillow or teddy bear out of the patient's clothing for the family members to keep as a tangible reminder of the person they have lost. The material and pillow form will be provided, and if you would like, you can hand deliver the pillow to the family!

Description
Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit organization offering a range of services for people of all ages and at any stage of serious illness. We've been providing comfort and care to the seriously ill and their families in the greater Kansas City area since 1980.
By providing both hospice and palliative care, we are able to assist patients and their loved ones at any time following a serious diagnosis. Hospice is provided when the focus is primarily on comfort; palliative care is provided when it is too early for hospice care and the patient may be seeking treatment aimed at cure.
