Do you love to garden?
Join the American Heart Association in partnership with some great local businesses in preparation day on June 5th and planting day on June 8th @ the East High Teaching The garden was built by the American Heart Association with our local sponsors in July 2016, and now it is time to get planting for the new growing season.
This East High Teaching Garden has been used for a Garden Club, and the Culinary Program to learn about growing the vegetables and fruit they prepare. A real farm to table experience for staff in their restaurant onsite.
We are looking for folks to come out and help our staff and some of the kids at the school clean up the garden and then get everything planted.
JUNE 5 (prep day): We ask that you bring with you the following; gardening gloves, a shovel (wheel barrel if able - we will need to move a lot of dirt). Dress appropriately for weather and gardening.
JUNE 8 (planting day): Please bring your gardening gloves and a small hand shovel for planting. Dress appropriately for weather and gardening.
Please send your contact information and interet to Colleen.Begner@heart.org or ewach out with any additional questions. Groups welcome!
