Clothes To Kids of Denver provides free school clothing to preschool-12th grade students from low-income or in-crisis families in a warm, welcoming store-like setting. Shopping at the Clothes To Kids boutique is truly a unique experience. Clothing is arranged by size and type so families can browse and select what they like best. There are departments for Girls, Boys, Young Men and Young Women and dressing rooms are provided so that kids can ensure a comfortable fit. The atmosphere is bright, cheerful and inviting as to create a positive experience for shoppers.
Our hope is that when students have the clothing they need to feel comfortable and confident in the classroom, they will better be able to focus on their studies and fit in with their peers. More than 190,000 students in Denver Metro Area schools are living at poverty level or below. Today, CTKD provides hundreds of free school wardrobes each month and has built a strong reputation among schools, human service agencies, shelters, hospitals, clinics and faith communities across the Denver Metro Area, which have come to rely on CTKD to meet the clothing needs of students from low-income families. Clothes To Kids serves students year-round by appointment.
WHAT WILL WE BE DOING?
The boutique is almost entirely volunteer-operated, so your involvement is an essential component in allowing us to provide clothing to students in our community. For this volunteer event, we will help organize, sort, inventory and hang incoming donations to prepare them for the boutique.
