Habitat ReStore is a nonprofit retail center where new and gently used building materials and home furnishings are sold at discounted prices. The ReStore is our solution for turning these donations, from generous and environmentally concerned individuals and businesses, into money to build homes for families
The ReStore Administrative Assistant will report to and work closely with the ReStore Dontations Coordinator and the Director of ReStore Operations to assist with the administrative aspects of ReStore operations. This volunteer position has daily interation with customers and donors and requires excellent customer service skills. We are looking for a candidate who can assist with phone interactions and database management.
Volunteer Duties Include:
- Receiving donation phone calls and assisting potential donors and customers.
- Entering data and information in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
- Filing and sorting documents.
- Qualifying eligible ReStore donations.
- Assisting cashier/register when needed to process customer sales.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experienced use of computer and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to comfortably handle money and process sales.
- Strong customer service including customers, donors, and volunteers.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Able to commit to at least 1 full 8 hour day per week.
- Ability to lift 30lbs.
- Passion and understanding of the Habitat for Humanity mission and the desire to promote it!

Since 1985, Habitat Pinellas has been creating homeownership opportunities for low-income people and families with the help of the Pinellas County community.
Partnering with our community, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County brings community volunteers, corporate donors, civic organizations and faith groups together to build affordable homes for struggling, low-income families and individuals throughout Pinellas County.
Habitat’s unique and sensible formula makes it possible for limited-income individuals and families to own a home they can afford. With volunteer labor and local donations of money and some in-kind materials, Habitat Pinellas builds and rehabilitates houses with the help of the homeowner families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families or individuals at no profit and financed with zero-interest loans.
In partnership with our community, we work toward our ultimate goal of eliminating substandard housing throughout Pinellas county.
