Get involved one-on-one with one of LoveWay's exceptional equines by providing stretches, strengthening exercises, and plenty of stress relief. LoveWay's Horse Buddy Volunteers give one hour each week to work with their buddy, a therapy horse, to give them a break from their regular routine and to help promote their physical and mental well-being. Horse Buddy Volunteers also employ massage techniques to help their buddy feel great. LoveWay staff is happy to teach new and interested volunteers.
This volunteer opportunity does require that the Horse Buddy Volunteer be at least 16 years old and physically able to stoop, bend, and lift each of a horse's feet to accomplish the stretching exercises that are so beneficial to our equines.

Description
Focusing primarily on therapeutic horseback riding in small group classes for nearly 50 years, LoveWay, Inc. is one of the oldest therapeutic riding centers for children with disabilities in Indiana. Located in the rolling, wooded hills between Bristol and Middlebury, the 30-acre facility offers comprehensive class semesters twice a year, in the spring and fall, in addition to summer camp opportunities.
