There is nothing better than celebrating Christmas a little early!
We will be providing an assortment of free things such as food, groceries, household items, books and toys, and samples. Our mission is to make a difference in our community, one person at a time.
We need volunteers to help with setting up, hanging out items, serving food, and cleaning up. Christmas in August is an all day event with multiple shifts during the day. Come and join us for an early Christmas spirit of serving and gift giving.
Shifts:
6am to 10am for set up
8am to noon for serving
12pm to 5pm for serving
8am to 5pm for all day serving
3pm to 6pm for cleaning

Making a Difference Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, whose mission is to make a difference in the lives of others everyday. We believe that every person has the capacity to serve and make a difference in a person's life. Inspired by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., " Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve. You don't have to have a college degree to serve. You don't have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don't have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You don't have to know Einstein's "Theory of Relativity" to serve. You don't have to know the Second Theory of Thermal Dynamics in Physics to serve. You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love, and you can be that servant." We make a difference through: Providing Scholarships; Providing Housing; Providing Gifts of Encouragement; Providing Food; and Performing missionary work throughout the world
Description
We are looking for volunteers at our food bank, Eloise Cooking Pot, located in East Tacoma, Washington. Help us serve over 15,000 people each month by sorting food to be given out, packaging boxes for over 600 deliveries a week, and delivering food to our homebound clients.
