Did you know nearly 30% of Arizonan children face hunger each day? Mountain Park Health Center is hosting a free-of-charge summer lunch program for kids and we are still in need of volunteers to help out! We have locations throughout the valley. Training date is Friday, May 26 (if you are unable to make this day, we can find a way to get your set-up so you can participate).
Specific tasks may include any or all of the following:
- Invite families and children into the lunch room area (no serving of food is required)
- Visit with families and children
- Record number of lunches served/number of children in attendance
- Welcome to sit at the tables with children, read books, play games, etc.
Time Required: Flexible scheduling is available with about a 4-hour requirement for a lunch shift and a 2-hour commitment for a breakfast shift. Looking for 2-4 people per shift. Long-term volunteers are especially needed. We would welcome any groups wishing to take on this awesome project!
Skills/Education: Experience working with children is helpful along with a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Bilingual is always a plus. A desire to serve the community and be part of the Mountain Park family!

Mission Statement
Mountain Park Health Center, an Arizona non-profit organization, has been committed to the mission of working with the communities it serves to sustain and improve health by providing affordable primary care.
Description
For 40 years, Mountain Park Health Center has been dedicated to providing access to affordable primary care.
Starting with our first clinic in the heart of south Phoenix in 1983, Mountain Park has expanded to include six medical clinics, two pharmacies, two dental clinics, and two school-based clinics. All of these services are located in diverse neighborhoods throughout the greater Phoenix area.
Our commitment to the community has been a long-standing promise for affordable healthcare. Mountain Park has created a new mindset for healthcare; one that concentrates on the needs of the patient and focuses on keeping healthcare affordable.
Mountain Park clinics have a history of moving into neighborhoods where access to affordable healthcare is limited. We focus on creating welcoming clinics; hiring providers and staff members who are passionate about healthcare and-perhaps most importantly-listening to patients to learn what services are needed from Mountain Park.
