Early Learning Center- Classroom Inventory

Event Description:

To clean and inventory items in the classrooms to maintain an accurate record of items & supplies.

Date: Wednesday May 31st (alternate date is Thursday June 1st, if project is not complete)

Time: 9a-3p

Attire: Comfortable, but appropriate around young children, no open toe shoes. T-shirt, jeans, and gym shoes preferred.

Requirements: Attention to detail, willing to work in a group or independent

Please note: If you are completing community service hours for court or driver’s responsibility, there is a separate process. There is an orientation every Friday at 12:30p in the Westside Food Center 1300 Oakman Blvd. Detroit 48238, bring picture ID. You do not have to make an appointment to come. This information is also available by calling 313-494-4175 Joel Griffith.



Additional Information:

Please report to the front desk of the Center for Children to check in. There are no locker or storage areas, so please keep your belongings in a safe secure place prior to arrival.

For the safety and health of our children, if you are sick (even with a mild cold, sore throat, sniffles etc.) or have any of the following illnesses you will not be allowed to volunteer; Hepatitis A; Shiga toxin-producing E.coli, Shigella; Salmonella Typhi; Norovirus.

Focus: HOPE is a human service organization. Founded in 1968 in the wake of the 1967 Detroit riots by Father Willam T. Cunningham (1930-1997) and co-founder Eleanor M. Josaitis (1931-2011), Focus: HOPE unites a multicultural community in common efforts to overcome injustice and build racial harmony. Over the years, Focus: HOPE has initiated practical solutions to the problems of hunger, economic disparity, inadequate education, and racial divisiveness. Answers can be found in Focus: HOPE's technology training programs, educational and corporate partnerships, and food programs.
