If you are looking for some adventure in your life, consider joining the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. Wherever your interests lie, and whatever life skills you have, chances are that the Coast Guard Auxiliary can offer you an area to serve that will enrich your life in ways you may not have imagined.
We are all volunteers and can not be called up for active duty. Our members must be at least 17 years old and older ( no upper age limit)..
Our monthly meeting place is the South Hadley Fire Station on Newton Street. Meetings are once a month on the first Tuesday of each month.

Mission Statement
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is made up of civilian volunteers (not paid), in support of the Coast Guard in civic duties, public education to the boating public, assisting in search and rescue, vessel examinations and many other activates.
Description
Along with the traditional activities of boating safety, we have branched out to include the musicians program.
The Auxiliary Band , Flotilla 97, is made up of qualified, Volunteer members in the Coast Guard Auxiliary Musician program in our Western MA Division.
Their purpose is to provide live musical entertainment for the Coast Guard and Coast Guard Auxiliary Ceremonial events, honoring veterans and community events.
