Event volunteers work under the direction of Erica Peterson, Founder & Board President, who will provide task-specifictraining.
TIME COMMITMENT: Event day volunteers will be asked to commit at least 5 hours on the day of the event. Volunteers are required to participate in a 30 minute online virtual conference call before the day of the event.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Customer service experience is preferred. Child Abuse Clearance and Pennsylvania State Police Clearances are required. Minors under the age of 18 may volunteer with parental consent.
BENEFITS:
All Science Tots volunteers are invited to Science Tots' Annual Party, receive Science Tots' newsletter and receive credit in the Annual Report. Event volunteers also have the opportunity to learn new skills from professionals, meet others in the community, while supporting family engagement and early childhood STEAM education. Volunteers will be reimbursed for meals, travel, and parking. Volunteers will also receive Science Tots t-shirts.

Description
May- October: We need volunteers to assist in setting up/tearing down at festivals or community day events and work on STEAM activities with both children and parents.
November-April: We need volunteers who will visit schools, early learning centers, and other nonprofits that serve children in need to demonstrate and work on STEAM activities with children and their parents or caregivers.
Year-Round Opportunities: We need volunteers to serve in leadership roles on committees like the Special Events Committee or the Volunteer Committee year-round.
