Union Station Homeless Services in Pasadena, San Gabriel Valley's largest social services agency, is holding a walk called "March Home: ending homelessness one step at a time" on Saturday, March 3rd, 2018. The route goes past Union Station's three permanent supportive housing programs: Centennial Place, Euclid Villa and Marv's Place. The Finish Line Festival will include guest speakers, live music, family fun-zone, food trucks and more!
Volunteer positions: Roles including participant registration, cheer squad, route monitors, Kid's Fun Zone, break-down , set-up and more! No orientation required. Youth ages 10-16 may volunteer for the Cheer Team positions. Minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old.
POSTCARD DISTRIBUTION: help us promote the event by walking the route and delivering postcards to businesses. Email volunteer@unionstationhs.org to set up a time on a weekday during work hours to pick up postcards and a script.
SATURDAY, MARCH 3rd VOLUNTEER EXAMPLE SHIFT TIMES:
SET UP: 5:00am - 8:00am
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION: 6:30am - 9:30am and 9:00am - 12:00pm
REGISTRATION: 7:00am - 10:00am
EVENT STAFF: 6:00am - 12:00pm
ROUTE MONITORS
CHILDREN'S FUN ZONE: 9:00am-12:00pm - One of the positions is for people who like to do face painting!
CHEER TEAM: 8:30am-12:00pm
CLEAN-UP: 11:00am-2:00pm

Description
We need volunteers to help support our kitchen staff with cooking, serving, and cleaning. Volunteers are integral to providing much needed donation items to our clients.
