As part of WHEDco's celebration of 25 years of building a greater Bronx, WHEDco will shut down the streets for a full day of family-friendly fun! Part of the NYC Department of Transportation Weekend Walks Program, Bronx Music @ Melrose is an exciting summer streets initiative where we connect community members to local community, nonprofit, cultural and economic resources. Past events have attracted hundreds of attendees from the local community and beyond.

We need volunteers to make this event a success! There is particular need for help with leading children’s activities during a 3 to 6 pm timeslot on June 2 nd. Below is a sampling of some of the activities taking place and the approximate number of volunteers required:

Carnival Games (ring toss, egg and spoon relay, fish bowl game, etc.) - Volunteers Needed: 7

Crafts (bracelet making, make your own ice cream, make your own card, etc.) - Volunteers Needed: 5

Active Play (jump roping, hula hooping, board games, etc.) - Volunteers Needed: 4

**If you are able, we can always use help with clean-up and take down from 5 to 8 pm at both events.**
