Heritage Gardens

Midway Village Museum is looking for volunteers who would like to be a part of our unique Heritage Gardens Program.

Join a team in one of our historically themed gardens and learn more about everyday life at the turn of the 20th century as seen through the gardens. You will have the opportunity to experiment with heirloom vegetables, learn about sustainable gardening practices of the past, or discover old-fashioned flowers your grandmother was familiar with.

Whatever your gardening skills WE NEED YOU!

Garden Team Meets on Tuesday mornings from 9am-12pm for their work day.

Description

Welcome to the award-winning Midway Village Museum! The museum campus sits on a 148-acre campus conveniently located near I-90 in Rockford, Illinois. The museum is comfortably nestled among trees to create a beautiful ambiance at any time of the year. Our Victorian-era Village and Main Museum Center are centrally located on the campus within walking distance of each other.
