ORGANIZATION: Equestrian Bridges
Please visit the new page to apply.
Equestrian Bridges’ is a 501c3 not-for-profit located in Fayetteville. Equestrian Bridges is dedicated to building connections that empower Northwest Arkansas families.
Dream Catchers is a social skills program that takes place in 8 weekly sessions. Within Dream Catchers we facilitate Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT). Clients learn to relate to their peers and work alongside our therapy horses through this powerful, proven program. Groups are carefully assembled by function and age. Each group typically consist of 4-6 clients so individual care can be provided. Equestrian Bridges’ Program Director will design activities that lay the foundation for higher-level academic and communication skills.
Beginning Wednesday September 20th we need committed volunteers for this 8 week program. You will be assigned to serve as a buddy for the same child each week (there are times we adjust who you are paired with if a last minute need arises but we do our best to pair you with the same child every week so that relationship can be built). We also need substitutes so if you cannot commit to the full 8 weeks and you are willing to fill-in if someone cannot make it, that would be so appreciated!
Session time:
Wednesday 4:30pm-5:30pm Child/Teen Session
Wednesday 5:30pm-6:30pm Child/Teen Session
- Wednesday 6:30pm-7:30pm Child/Teen Session
*MUST REGISTER & ATTEND ONE TRAINING if you are a first time volunteer or have not attended one of our trainings within the last year (since summer 2016). Please register for training events separately.
