CHC boards are responsible for establishing and preserving the mission; setting policy; selecting and evaluating the health center executive officer; safeguarding CHC assets; strategic planning; monitoring and evaluating CHC operation and performance; and engaging in ongoing board development. CHC boards are required to meet at least monthly.
