Help Build Affordable Homes for Hardworking Families
Construction Site volunteers do anything from wall-raising to painting to landscaping. We have trained Crew Leaders on hand to show you what to do and teach you the basics of Habitat home construction. You will never be asked do do something you are not comfortable doing; and we have all the tools & safety gear already, so no need for your own equipment.
No experience needed- just a willingness to make a difference in the life of a family in need! Volunteers must be 16 years or older to help build a home.
Build Days will vary. We are working to have an ongoing list of "regular" construction volunteers that can fill gaps when reserved groups cannot fill their given volunteer slots.
This is a great opportunity to work with our experienced Crew Leaders, work side by side with the Habitat future homeowner, and hear their stories first hand. It's a great way to support our ministry, and see our work first hand!

Mission Vision: A world where everyone has a decent place to live. Mission Statement: Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope. Although we (Habitat for Humanity) are known around the world, volunteering with your local affiliate, supports your own local community. Housing matters to all of us and strengthens local economies.
Since 1995 Upper Cumberland Habitat for Humanity has been helping our neigbors realize The American Dream of home ownership. By combining the support of churches, corporations, local businesses, civic organizations, and individuals UCHFH is able to build a safe, affordable home for much less than the average market price.
The homes are then purchased by a qualifying Habitat Family with an affordable mortgage, with low to no interest. The homeowner not only receives the right to purchase these homes, but also volunteers with Habitat, helps build their own home, and participates in a variety of homeownership classes to learn how to maintain their home. Some of their classes include Financial Peace, Conflict Resolution and how to be a good neighbor, Home Repair, and more. We believe in offering a hand up, a positive way to achieve adequate, affordable shelter that we all deserve.
Contributions to habitat help families support themelves and their families, and in turn, become vested in their community at a brand new level.
We'll work with your schedule.
