Internship Overview
This is an unpaid internship. We are seeking a dynamic individual who is flexible, creative and takes initiative. Intern will be a member of the Program Department and will report to the Volunteer Manager. Most of the work will be during normal business hours though some night and weekend work may be expected. The information below is not meant to be an exhaustive list of job duties or qualifications. Intern may be required to follow other instructions or perform any other duties as requested by his/her supervisor or manager or as required by the intern’s school.
Core Responsibilities
- Expand our reach by developing a network of volunteer coordinators responsible for scheduling and equipping volunteers for community outreach in their geographic areas;
- Identify new methods of volunteer recruitment and training in outlying areas;
- Educate the community regarding Alzheimer’s disease and chapter services.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Comfortable working with diverse groups;
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision;
- Comfortable using computer and web-based resources;
- Able to communicate well, both written and oral, in English; additional ability to communicate well in another language common in the area will be advantageous;
- Interest in learning more about a culture of philanthropy; and
- Reliable means of transportation.

Minimum Education Requirements
Student must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university.
