Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National MS Society, Greater Illinois

Bike MS:Tour de Farms is one of the annual flagship fundraising events put on by the National MS Society, Greater Illinois. While NIU acts as our home base for the weekend of festivities we are also looking for volunteers to help along the route!

Rest Stops are placed through out the ride every 10-15 miles, these stops are integral to the success of our event.

We are currently looking for volunteers (Individuals, Families, Friends, Co-workers, Teen Groups, Meet-up Groups, etc) to help out at our Oak Ridge Forest Preserve Rest Stop on Saturday, June 10 from 7am - 12pm.

Help us to set-up and decorate Rest Stop area and cheer on the riders as they are coming and going from your stop.

  • Top priorities are tomonitor refreshments & food supplies, and ensure that riders are getting their well-deserved break.
  • Be in communication via Radio with Net Control, Motorcycle Safety Crew, & our Saftey & Gear Drivers on additional needs such as if a rider needs first aid, rider is requesting support, and when supplies need replenishment.
  • At end of the day help with taking down tent and organizing leftover supplies.

WE WILL SUPPLY ALL THE REFRESHEMENTS, SNACKS, TENTS, AND ITEMS FOR THE CYCLIST.

You can bring what ever you would like to help make it the best Rest Stop on the Route.

Please feel free to reach out to Sarah JP (sarah.patulo@nmss.org) if you have any additional questions or concerns.

Register online (www.BikeMSillinois.org) or by emailing sarah.patulo@nmss.org.
