We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to support our S.T.A.R. Summer Literacy Program for students in grades K-8! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners while gaining hands-on experience in a fun, engaging, and educational environment.
Volunteer Areas Include:
Classroom Support: Assist staff with small group activities, reading sessions, and learning games.
Lunch & Snack Help: Support meal distribution and cleanup during lunch and snack times.
Check-In/Check-Out Assistance: Help with student arrival and dismissal, ensuring safety and a smooth process.
Recreational Activities: Lead or assist with indoor and outdoor games, arts & crafts, and themed weekly projects.
Administrative Help: Assist with organizing materials, attendance tracking, and other behind-the-scenes tasks.
Program Details:
Dates: June 23 - August 7, 2025
Days: Monday through Thursday (No Fridays)
Time: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Location: 1001 Dakin Street, Lansing, MI
Whether you can help one day a week or more regularly, we welcome your support! Volunteers must be dependable, enjoy working with children, and be willing to complete a brief orientation and background check.

Description
ECAC was founded in 2007 to serve as a hub for charitable and educational activities benefiting the residents of Lansing, Michigan. ECAC is designed to answer the needs of vulnerable people residing in Lansing's Potter-Walsh neighborhood, the Eastside, and surrounding areas.
