Trail Maintenance--Memorial County Park, San Mateo County, Mt. Ellen Trails
ORGANIZATION: Trail Center
Please visit the new page to apply.
The Trail Center is an all-volunteer organization that, on one Saturday each month, constructs and maintains hiking trails in the Bay Area.
On this workday, we’ll be continuing our previous trail maintenance on two of the Mt. Ellen Trails, the Nature Trail and the Summit Trail. Our work will include brushing, tread widening and repair, drainage and reopening a section of the trail that has been closed by fallen trees. Portions of these trails have not been maintained for several years so there are sections that have become very narrow.
Previous experience is not necessary. The Trail Center will provide all training, tools and gloves, and there will be refreshments at the end of the workday.
